THEY Rep’s creative team was excited to be a part of the 25th anniversary issue of THE ESSENTIAL VANCOUVER–a magazine with a mandate “to celebrate the very best of Vancouver–its arts, design, fashion and scenery. In short, to present the good life to our traveller readers.” Toronto-based photographer DEXTER QUINTO, stylist LEILA BANI, makeup artist & hairstylist SONIA LEAL-SERAFIM, nail artist CHRISTINA CULVER and producer GINA HOLE worked together in creating the fashion editorial for the issue. It was a pleasure to work with the team at Essential Vancouver–editor LOUISE PHILLIPS, assistant editor JENNIFER PATTERSON and art director CAROLINE TOTH.

It was a full-on weekend Saturday & Sunday for THEY Rep at the 2011 Vancouver IMATS with a great turn out for both days to watch two of their own speaking on the main stage.
Makeup artist & hairstylist SONIA LEAL-SERAFIM enjoyed speaking and demonstrating, this past Saturday, to a crowd about beauty make-up in a digital age–how editorial make-up artists should work with photographers to minimize digital touch-ups, potentially saving clients thousands of dollars in post-production. Sonia informed and educated while executing a make-up and hair demonstration on-stage.
THEY Rep’s agent/owner GINA HOLE was on Sunday’s panel discussion with agent JAYNE CRAIG of LIZBELL speaking to lots of new makeup hopefuls on gaining agency representation. Gina and Jayne discussed how agency representation works and how it could benefit an artist’s career.
Thank you to IMATS education coordinator, MELISSA MACGILLIVRAY and show director MICHAEL KEY who once again organized a fantastic event for Western Canada & the West Coast’s beauty and makeup industry.
