Avid road cyclist and ENGLISH BAY TRIATHLON CLUB member DAVID ELLINGSEN coincidentally shot the photo on the cover of TRANSLINK‘s Metro Vancouver Cycling Map.
Stylist LEILA BANI and makeup and hair artist SONIA LEAL-SERAFIM both teamed up once again with creative agency BRANDFX, for the latest fall 2010 LEONE and L2 advertising campaigns.

Makeup artist and hair stylist SONIA LEAL-SERAFIM is back from her week-long shoot on board the ROCKY MOUNTAINEER for their latest advertising campaign, and had the pleasure of working with photographer ROBERT EARNEST while touring the Rockies. Here’s what she had to say about the shoot:

Out of the 15,000 submissions to the 2010 INTERNATIONAL PHOTOGRAPHY AWARDS in Los Angeles, DAVID ELLINGSEN is proud to have recently received five Honorable Mentions. Four of the five were for his new series of Polaroid portraits – Modern Classics – and the fifth for his evening cityscape of Vancouver harbour during the 2010 Winter Olympics.

THEY Rep and SUGAR STUDIOS owner/agent/producer GINA HOLE was recently in NYC to attend LE BOOK‘s CONNECTIONS and PRODUCTIONS trade shows. Gina was thrilled to meet with fellow photoraphy agents, producers, and some of the top production companies in world including JED ROOT, MARGE CASEY, and the team from MILK STUDIOS/DIGITAL/GALLERY.
“Being in New York is always so inspiring. I came away with lots of new inspiration and ideas for my studio, agency, and production. I learned a lot but was also pleased to know that we are right on track with how we are doing business here in Vancouver, as well as how we are representing our photographers and artists. After touring MILK studios I walked away with a lot of respect and admiration for how they run their spaces, knowing that that’s what we want to keep delivering at Sugar Studios, as well.
