DEXTER QUINTO PHOTOGRAPHER : BIO

Dexter Quinto was born in the Philippines and at the age of two moved with his family to Vancouver, Canada. He was first introduced to photography in high school, where he learned his basic skills & darkroom techniques. After school he did not immediately launch his career  in photography, but instead became a graphic and web designer and then a creative director, where he further honed his artistic skills.

Dexter made the jump from creative director to professional fashion and advertising photographer in 2006, and in just one short year he achieved tremendous success. Dexter’s charming and sweet, yet completely focused shooting style is a big part of why clients come back for repeat shoots. His innate lighting and digital techniques, along with a keen eye for fashion and beauty, have graced the pages of CLIN D’OEIL, UMM, ELLE CANADA, and MEN’S FITNESS magazines. Dexter has also shot worldwide and national advertising campaigns for clients such as the BC LOTTERY CORPORATION, BC HYDRO, BODOG, STERLING SHOES, POINT ZERO, KORITE INTERNATIONAL, OBAKKI, and DAVID DIXON, as well as over the past two years has been shooting the beauty campaigns for the massively successful mineral cosmetics company, JANE IREDALE COSMETICS out of Boston.

His ability to capture and embody the personalities of his subjects has led him to photograph sports celebrities such as UFC fighters GEORGE ST PIERRE, YOSHIHIRO AKIYAMA, CHUCK LIDDELL,  as well as basketball heavyweight STEVE NASH. Actresses such as KRISTEN KRUEK, GINA HOLDEN, EMILY HOLMES and GABRIELLE MILLER adore Dexter as he simply makes them look beautiful everytime. Dexter has shot musical groups/singers DESTINO, IL VOCE, DANIEL PANETTA, NAZANINE and Canada’s darlings FARMERS DAUGHTER.

Dexter keeps busy shooting throughout Canada and the US. He  has recently opened a commercial photo studio and currently resides in Toronto, but shoots regularily between Vancouver, Toronto, Montreal, Boston and even Costa Rica.
