DEXTER QUINTO PHOTOGRAPHER : BIO

Dexter Quinto was born in the Philippines and at the age of two moved with his family to Vancouver, Canada. He was first introduced to photography in high school, where he learned his basic skills & darkroom techniques. After school he did not immediately launch his career  in photography, but instead became a graphic and web designer and then a creative director, where he further honed his artistic skills.
Dexter made the jump from creative director to professional fashion and advertising photographer in 2006, and in just one short year he achieved tremendous success. Dexter’s charming and sweet, yet completely focused shooting style is a big part of why clients come back for repeat shoots. His innate lighting, digital techniques, subject’s energy & movement, along with a keen eye for fashion and beauty, have graced the pages of CLIN D’OEIL, ELLE CANADA, MORE, WEDLUX, FANTASTICMAG, and MEN’S FITNESS magazines. Dexter has also shot worldwide and national advertising campaigns for clients such as the BC LOTTERY CORPORATION, BC HYDRO, TIPTOP TAILORS, RON WHITE, POINT ZERO, SPORTS CHECK, PARK ROYAL MALL and the many BODOG campaigns. Over the past four years Dexter has been shooting and retouching the world-wide beauty campaigns for the global mineral cosmetics company, JANE IREDALE COSMETICS.

His ability to capture and embody the personalities of his subjects has led him to photograph sports celebrities such as UFC fighters GEORGE ST PIERRE, YOSHIHIRO AKIYAMA, CHUCK LIDDELL,  as well as basketball heavyweight STEVE NASH. Actresses such as KRISTEN KRUEK, EMILY HOLMES, ANGELA KELMAN and GINA HOLDEN, adore Dexter as he simply makes them look beautiful every time. Dexter has shot musical groups/singers MARLEE SCOTT, DESTINO, IL VOCE, DANIEL PANETTA, NAZANINE and Canada’s darlings FARMERS DAUGHTER.

Dexter keeps busy shooting throughout Canada and the US. He has a commercial photo studio in Toronto and Sugar Studios in Vancouver, and shoots on the move regularly between Vancouver, Toronto, Montreal, Boston, Vegas and Nashville, among many other locations.
