BRENDA BAKKER MAKEUP & HAIR : BIO

Brenda Bakker got her start over 14 years ago in the beauty industry by enrolling in esthetics training, where she worked under European teachers and lines doing nails, skincare and body work. Brenda then went onto become the head makeup artist for MUCH MUSIC WEST where she was responsible for all of the news casts, plus working with musicians and celebrities such as KEISHA CHANTE, BILLY TALENT, and TEGAN & SARA to name only a few. Brenda then went onto work on a season of CANADA’S NEXT TOP MODEL, where she was the personal to co-host JEANNE BEKER.

Another of Brenda’s ambitions was to work in the movie industry, where she did hair and makeup, sometimes in challenging, remote locations Northern Ontario, where temperatures would reach 30-40 below zero.

Brenda currently spends her time between Whistler, Vancouver and Toronto, where she boasts one of the most successful careers as a busy fashion, editorial and advertisng artist, working with major magazines such as GLAMOUR, HARPER’S BAZAAR, FASHION, and CHATELAINE. Brenda is also widey known as one of THE top bridal makeup artist, hair stylist and manicurists in the city as well as the resort of Whistler.
